So much wedding nonsense, and so many hours working on this, that and the other, Meg and I did not feel guilty at all when we snuck away from the work to go see Inception last night. It was definitely a must-see in theaters, and for someone like me who has enjoyed all of Nolan's films, it was yet another incredible addition to his work.
I am surprised though, that he has pulled in as much money as he did. It's a very heavy concept, and a very long movie. I could see some people in the theater (and it was packed, on a Wednesday) losing interest, but hey. This movie is a rare feat; a big budget for a movie that isn't a sequel, a remake or a Happy Meal, but an incredibly high concept. Well done, Mr. Nolan. Well done.
